Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicles on I-60 Freeway Tuesday
Industry, CA (May 4, 2021) – A bicycle rider died following a traffic accident on Interstate 60, also known as Pomona Freeway, Tuesday evening.
According to My News LA, the bicyclist was traveling near the center divider of the eastbound side of the freeway. In the area just west of Peck Road, a vehicle of unknown make and model struck the cyclist.
The force from the impact caused the victim to fall down the road. Authorities believed several other drivers run over the bicyclist after the initial crash.
Deadly Bicycle Accident in Industry, May 4
Shortly after 8:15 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the cyclist but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned all motorists involved in the unfortunate event stayed in the area until police arrived.
Authorities stayed at the crash site the whole evening to investigate several factors surrounding the deadly bicycle accident in Industry.
