1 Killed, 1 Injured in Industry Crash Near Currier Road and Lemon Avenue
INDUSTRY, CA (September 15, 2021) – A head-on crash killed one person and injured two others near Currier Road and Lemon Avenue in Industry.
According to an article published by the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:39 p.m.
The incident happened on September 14 when a car was traveling at a high rate of speed east on Currier Road near Lemon Avenue in Industry. At the same time, an SUV was going west.
The Sheriff’s Department said the speeding vehicle then spun out of control and drifted into the westbound lanes. In the process, the car slammed head-on into the SUV.
Speeding Driver Hits Another Car Head-On
A man riding as a passenger in the eastbound car died as a result of the collision. The man driving the speeding vehicle suffered a broken femur and lacerations to his arms and hands upon impact.
The male driver of the SUV complained of pain in his chest and legs following the accident. Paramedics took the two patients to the hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, deputies forced the area of Currier Road and Lemon Avenue to shut down for hours after the wreck.
The fatal Industry crash is still under investigation.
