Police Arrest Driver who Struck Woman, Child in Hit-And-Run Collision
INDUSTRY, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2022) — A hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Wednesday afternoon on Azusa Avenue near Gemini Street in the city of Industry.
The collision occurred about 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 28th, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say a driver in a silver Honda Accord allegedly drove through a red traffic light and hit a woman and child in a crosswalk.
The man driving the Honda fled the scene without stopping to help the victims.
Paramedics responded and transported the woman and child to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police searched for the suspect and located the motorist about 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. They arrested the man and booked him into the Sheriff’s Industry Station Jail.
