Ines Nolasco Maximiano, 34, Killed in Palermo Crash on Lincoln Boulevard
PALERMO, CA (May 12, 2021) – A DUI crash killed on Lincoln Boulevard Ines Nolasco Maximiano in Palermo.
The Butte County Coroner’s Office identified the 34-year-old Los Angeles man as the victim of the fatal wreck last week on Friday night.
The incident happened when Ines Nolasco Maximiano was driving a 2001 Toyota on Lincoln Boulevard, south of Messina Avenue, in Palermo.
The California Highway Patrol said a 2000 Audi traveling at an unsafe speed then struck the rear of the Toyota. The Toyota went off the road and ultimately slammed into a tree.
Drunk Driver Hits Another Car Near Messina Avenue
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that Ines Nolasco Maximiano died as a result of the collision.
KRCRTV News wrote that the accident occurred on May 7 shortly after 10:30 p.m. Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses of Maximiano.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the male driver of the Audi tried to flee the area but witnesses detained him. Officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck took place.
Authorities soon arrested the motorist for DUI and leaving the scene of a crash. The Palermo DUI collision is still under investigation.
