BAKERSFIELD: Infant Injured in Car Crash on Highway 58BAKERSFIELD, California — A single-vehicle crash caused injuries to a 6-month-old baby and a woman on Highway 58 at Weedpatch Highway morning of March 29.

As per an article by Kern Golden Empire, an eastbound vehicle traveling on the highway at about 7:00 a.m. struck the center divider, for still unknown reason.

CHP said the driver was ejected from the car and was taken to the hospital where the person later died. The deceased was identified as Farideh Terae Mitchell.
 A 6-month-old baby in the backseat, who was strapped into a car-seat at the time, was virtually unharmed.
At this time, investigators are looking into the possibility of an involvement of a second vehicle in the crash.
