1 Killed in Inglewood Crash on 405 Freeway Near Century Boulevard
INGLEWOOD, CA (May 20, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person on the 405 Freeway near Century Boulevard in Inglewood.
According to an article published by the NBC Los Angeles, the tragic accident took place early Friday. Officers reported the wreck at about 4 a.m.
The incident happened when at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Inglewood. They crashed on the northbound side of the 405 Freeway near the Century Boulevard exit.
2 Cars Collide
One of the cars involved rolled over and then landed on its roof due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, east of Los Angeles International Airport.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the wreck. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers forced the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway to shut down near Century for a time following the incident. The cause of the fatal Inglewood crash is still under investigation.
