LOMA LINDA, California (August 4, 2016) – According to California Highway Patrol report log, an injury collision involving a big rig occurred on the westbound 10 Freeway Thursday afternoon.
CHP received a call about a vehicle which crashed into the back of a semi-truck about 2:20 p.m. The accident took place east of Tippecanoe Avenue.
The car, described in the dispatch as a silver 2002 Honda Accord, appeared to have been pinned underneath the trailer upon impact. Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to at least one person who was hurt following the incident.
The victim was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center with minor injuries and complaint of pain.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that another vehicle may have been involved, however, it was not confirmed in the report.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
