2 Hurt in Collision on The Old Road
Castaic, CA (August 25, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash that occurred on The Old Road, the Santa Clarita Valley News reported.
Our sources indicated a 23-year-old man, a Bakersfield resident, was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling in the streets of Castaic Monday night. According to the article published online, the man was driving at an unsafe speed. When the motorist approached the 3100 block of The Old Road, he crashed into another car. For reasons still unclear, a third vehicle ended up involved in the mishap.
The collision took place at approximately 10:30 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived, they immediately attended to all parties found at the site. Authorities said one passenger in the first car, and another person sustained injuries in the accident. Paramedics transported at least one patient to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Car Accident in Castaic
Officers mentioned the man traveling at an unsafe speed showed signs of intoxication during the investigation process. For this reason, police arrested the suspect for felony charges of a DUI.
