2 Injured in Interlaken Crash on East Lake Avenue Near Fairgrounds
INTERLAKEN, CA (May 10, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on East Lake Avenue in Interlaken.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:44 p.m.
CHP said a Volvo and a Honda Civic collided for an unknown reason in Modesto. They crashed at 2601 East Lake Avenue, known as Highway 152, in Interlaken.

The Volvo slammed into a pole while and the Honda went five feet off the roadway upon impact. The Volvo obtained moderate front-end damage while the Civic sustained major front-end damage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene near the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. They found two people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took them to the Watsonville Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the road to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Interlaken crash.
