1 Injured in Interlaken Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 152 and Holohan Road
INTERLAKEN, CA (March 3, 2022) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 152 and Holohan Road in Interlaken.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:53 p.m.
The incident began when a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 152, known as East Lake Avenue, in Interlaken. After some time, the car struck another vehicle at the intersection with Holohan Road.
Speeding Driver Hits Cars, Flees Scene
CHP described the cars as a BMW and GMC Yukon. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near College Road.
Medical personnel found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They then treated the patient for the unknown injuries they sustained in the wreck.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the speeding driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced a stretch of Highway 152 to shut down near Holohan following the wreck. The Interlaken hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
