Speed Involved in San Bernardino Crash on I-215 Freeway
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (June 17, 2021) — An Interstate 215 Freeway collision Thursday morning left a Caltrans worker with injuries on the northbound side in San Bernardino.
The Interstate 215 Freeway collision happened about 7:45 a.m. on June 17th near Devore Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP report states that the Caltrans workers was struck by a vehicle, but there was no further information.
Several vehicles stopped after the collision include a grey Jeep Renegade, a black, 2017 Dodge Challenger, a white Hyundai Elantra.
Caltrans Worker Hurt in San Bernardino Accident
Meanwhile, it’s unknown at this time which vehicle struck the worker on the freeway.
However, a witness told authorities the driver in the black Dodge was driving recklessly at high speeds before the collision.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the Interstate 215 Freeway crash as well as liability. Two tow trucks removed damaged vehicles.
