2-Vehicle Crash on I-405 Freeway in Orange County
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (August 30, 2021) — An Interstate 405 Freeway crash happened Monday morning near Magnolia Street in Orange County.
The collision happened at 9:07 a.m. on August 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision caused a slowdown on the freeway as traffic backed up behind it.
The CHP reported a black Jeep and a white Nissan sedan collided in the HOV and No. 1 lanes of the I-405 Freeway. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision, but the vehicles were underneath the Magnolia Street bridge.
Injury Crash on I-405 Freeway in Fountain Valley
Metro Net Fire Authority sent paramedics to the freeway crash scene. Also, the CHP issued a SigAlert due to the blocked roadway. The report did not mention how many were injured in the Interstate 405 Freeway crash.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine the cause of the collision and liability. Witnesses may reach out to the CHP’s Westminster station.
