Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-605 Freeway at Valley Boulevard
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. (August 27, 2021) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Thursday on the Interstate 605 Freeway, just south of Valley Boulevard.
The 3-vehicle crash happened about 11:34 a.m. on August 26th. By 12 p.m., authorities issued a SigAlert for roughly an hour.
The drivers of a gas tanker truck, a bob tail truck, a Toyota Prius and an SUV collided, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The smaller vehicles were both rear-ended in the Interstate 605 Freeway crash and suffered major damage, police said. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the collision. However, the CHP report did not mention how many people suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, the truck reportedly had a fuel spill that required cleanup.
Police do not mention what led up to the Interstate 605 Freeway crash, but they are investigating.
Our thoughts and prayers extend to those injured in this collision.
