Iola Robinson, 49, Killed in Antioch Hit-and-Run Near Delta Fair and San Jose
ANTIOCH, CA (January 13, 2022) – Iola Robinson was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Delta Fair Boulevard and San Jose Drive in Antioch.
Police identified the 49-year-old Antioch woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when a white vehicle hit Iola Robinson for an unknown reason in Antioch. Police said the car struck her near the intersection of Delta Fair Boulevard and San Jose Drive.
Driver Hits Woman, Flees Scene
Iola Robinson ended up suffering from severe injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found her down on the ground.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The Press and East Bay Times wrote that the accident occurred on January 12 shortly after 7:50 p.m.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the woman and then fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Delta Fair and San Jose to shut down for a time following the collision.
