Woman Killed in Crash on State Route 49 in San Andreas
SAN ANDREAS, Calif. — A Highway 49 crash left a 50-year-old Iowa woman with fatal injuries on June 5th after a head-on crash with another motorist in San Andreas.
The fatal crash happened when driver Dennis Conners, 49, of Monrow, Georgia, veered into opposing traffic and collided with her gray Nissan Altima, according to the MotherLode.com.
Donners was traveling northbound on State Route 49 in a white Dodge Ramp pickup truck, just south of O’Connell Lane.

The Iowa woman was heading southbound in the Nissan when the pickup truck veered into her path and crashed directly into her vehicle.
Upon impact, the Nissan got pushed onto the west shoulder of the roadway and the pickup truck overturned.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the Iowa woman dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Dennis Conners was transported by ambulance with minor injuries to a hospital.
Police are investigating the collision to determine if alcohol and drugs were a factor. However, the identity of the woman who died is unknown at this time.
