Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Freeway in Irvine
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (March 29, 2023) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Wednesday afternoon on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of Culver Drive in Irvine.
The collision involved at least four vehicles in the northbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the crash around 2 p.m. on March 29th between the drivers of a gray Toyota Prius, a black Toyota sedan, a white pickup truck and possibly a semi-truck. The motorists were blocking the HOV and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash, but there were no further details.
Additionally, tow trucks removed at least three of the vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Irvine car accident on the 5 Freeway.
