3-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Freeway in Irvine
IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 4, 2023) — A multi-vehicle car traffic accident occurred Monday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Culver Drive in Irvine.
The three-vehicle collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-5 at around 5:46 a.m. on Dec. 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Tesla Model 3, a gray Honda Accord and a Toyota Prius were involved in the crash.
The vehicles collided in the HOV lane and wound up near the center divider of the freeway. Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the three vehicles including the Honda with major front-end damage.
The cause of the car accident and liability will be determined by investigators.
