3 Injured in Irvine Crash at Jamboree Road and Main Street
IRVINE, CA (May 19, 2023) – Several were hospitalized after a crash at Jamboree Road and Main Street in Irvine.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on May 19 at around 2:20 p.m.
The incident happened when four cars collided for an unknown reason in the city of Irvine. The vehicles crashed at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Main Street.
The Orange County Fire Department said one car, a white SUV, rolled onto its side and obtained major damage upon impact. The other three vehicles came to a stop with rear-end damage.
Multiple Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed two trapped occupants from the wreckage. A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the trauma patients to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Crews at the site evaluated a fourth individual who then declined transportation.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Irvine crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced southbound Jamboree Road to shut down between Kelvin Avenue and Main Street for about two hours following the wreck.
