Fatal Collision Near Technology Drive
Irvine, CA (August 24, 2022) – A bicyclist died following a traffic accident that occurred on Alton Parkway Tuesday morning.
According to My News LA, a 69-year-old man was riding a bike traveling in the streets of Irvine. Earlier reports indicated the bicyclist crashed into a stopped truck in the area near Technology Drive.
The catastrophic incident took place at about 7:25 a.m.
Deadly Bicycle Accident on Alton Parkway in Irvine
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the cyclist lying on the ground. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the truck involved in the collision.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened on Alton Parkway in Irvine.
