Girl Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Hicks Canyon Park
Irvine, CA (August 16, 2022) – A child died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Estancia, according to My News LA.
Earlier reports indicated an Amazon van struck a girl in the parking lot of an apartment community near Hicks Canyon Park. The horrible crash took place in the 300 block of Estancia in Irvine.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Estancia in Irvine
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found a girl lying on the ground. Medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 23-month-old girl.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Amazon van involved in the unfortunate event.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly pedestrian accident happened on Estancia in Irvine.
