Man Injured in Irvine DUI Crash Near Barranca Parkway and Harvard Avenue
IRVINE (December 15, 2019) – A man was hospitalized after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Barranca Parkway and Harvard Avenue early Sunday.
According to a report posted by On Scene TV, authorities received a call about the accident at around 12:45 a.m. near the intersection.
Officers said the man was either riding or walking a bicycle when he was struck by a Honda CR-V in a marked crosswalk. His bike was equipped with reflectors and a forward-facing light.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim down in a roadway as a result of the collision
Medical personnel then transported the patient to an area trauma center with unspecified injuries. His name and condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities affirmed that the driver involved was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs when the incident occurred.
Officers ultimately placed the motorist under arrest on suspicion of DUI. They are still investigating the collision.
