IRVINE, California (April 7, 2017) – A fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Bake Parkway and Rockfield Boulevard on Friday morning, according to The Orange County Register.
The accident involving two vehicles was reported at 5:15 a.m.
As per the article, Irvine police said a Hyundai and a 2015 Toyota RAV4 at the intersection. The 22-year-old Lake Forest woman driving the Hyundai at the time was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the Toyota, also a woman, was transported by ambulance to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
