At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on San Diego (405) Freeway Tuesday
Irvine, CA (July 27, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on Interstate 405, also known as San Diego Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, two vehicles collided in the southbound side of the highway. The accident took place near Sand Canyon Avenue in Irvine. The make and model of the cars involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 3:15 a.m. Responding medical personnel found at least one person with injuries. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim and the extent of their trauma have not been discussed.

Meanwhile, the CHP log mentioned a driver involved in the collision fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the hit-and-run crash in Irvine is underway.
