Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on I-5 in Orange County

IRVINE, Calif. (August 2, 2024) — A major injury Irvine motorcycle accident happened Friday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of Yale Avenue in Orange County.

The two-vehicle traffic accident occurred just before 8 a.m. on August 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a silver Ford Flex SUV and a black, white and blue motorcyclist were involved and the bike went down near the HOV lane and center divide.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the Irvine motorcycle accident on the 5 Freeway.
