Woman, 31, Seriously Injured in Irvine Hit-and-Run Crash at Encanto and Molino
IRVINE, CA (August 19, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash at Encanto and Molino in Irvine.
According to the KTLA News and My News LA, the accident took place last week on Thursday. Officers reported the collision on August 12 at about 5:30 p.m.
The incident began when a female pedestrian was crossing Encanto at the intersection with Molino. Irvine police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck her.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the 31-year-old woman left suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment of a broken arm, a dislocated shoulder and head injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and sped away. They described the car as a black Jaguar XJ with tinted windows and aftermarket chrome rims.
The Jaguar obtained damage to the front bumper or hood after hitting the victim. Officers forced the intersection of Encanto and Molino to shut down for a time following the collision.
