2-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 405 Freeway in Irvine

Irvine, CA (April 11, 2025) — An Irvine rollover crash involving a Ford Fusion and a Subaru Outback caused delays on northbound I-405 near Culver Avenue Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Witnesses told authorities the vehicles spun out around 9:42 a.m. on April 11th, with witnesses stating the black sedan overturned multiple times before landing back on its wheels.

The vehicle briefly blocked the slow lane before both cars were moved to the right shoulder.

Southside Tow and Sea Country Towing were dispatched to the scene to remove both vehicles.

Paramedics responded with an ambulance to help anyone hurt in the crash, but there are no further details.

The incident was cleared by 11:05 a.m., and traffic resumed normal flow shortly after.

CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash on the 405 Freeway in Irvine.
