Pedestrian Killed in Irwindale Accident on Arrow Highway Near 4th Street
IRWINDALE, CA (March 10, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after an accident along Arrow Highway in Irwindale.
According to an article published by the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the crash shortly after 4 a.m.
Police said an SUV struck a male pedestrian who was crossing westbound on Arrow Highway in Irwindale. The driver hit him for an unknown reason, just west of 4th Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the man lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They confirmed that the victim later died.
His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the car stopped after hitting the pedestrian and stayed the crash site.
Officials shut down Arrowhead Highway between Irwindale and Azusa Canyon Road for about three hours following the accident. The cause of the fatal collision is still under investigation.
