Man, 43, Killed in Irwindale Hit-and-Run on Peck Road
IRWINDALE (October 3, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident along Peck Road outside of a business Wednesday morning, according to KTLA and ABC 7.
The collision was reported at around 6:11 a.m. near Foothill Transit station.
As per the reports, Los Angeles Fire and Police Department said a 43-year-old man was found unresponsive at the Clean Energy Station located at 56040 Peck Road.
Pedestrian Hit by Car Outside Irwindale Gas Station
Officials determined that the victim was struck by a vehicle in the area. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the car involved did not stop to render aid and fled.
The northbound Peck Road was forced to shut down at Foothill Transit Driveway following the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
