Fatal Two-Vehicle, Rollover Crash in Banning
BANNING, Calif. (April 12, 2022) — Isaac Rojas, 18, died two days after a Banning crash on the Interstate 10 Freeway at the Ramsey Street off ramp.
The two-vehicle collision happened at 2:20 a.m. on April 9th, the Riverside County Coroner’s office said.
Isaac Rojas was riding in a vehicle that collided with a second motorist and overturned.
Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters responded to the scene of the rollover crash on the I-10 Freeway, police said.
Firefighters and medics located two vehicles with one of them overturned near the Sunset/Ramsey Street off ramp.
Isaac Rojas suffered major injuries in the collision. It’s unknown if he was a driver or passenger. Paramedics transported him by ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. Just two days later, the teenager died at the hospital.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
