2 Killed in Baker, California Car Accident on 15 Freeway
BAKER, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2020) — Isaac Martel White, 25, of Memphis Tennessee, and James Jin Kao, 52, of Rancho Mirage, were identified as the two men killed in a collision Friday on the Interstate 15 Freeway in Baker.
The two men were identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The drivers were traveling in opposite directions of the I-15 Freeway when White’s compact car reportedly crossed over the center median and collided with an SUV driven by Kao.
The fatal crash was reported at 9:48 p.m. on Friday, October 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP report stated that the compact car was traveling at high speed prior to the collision.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene near mile marker 142 in Baker.
Upon their arrival, they located both drivers and unfortunately they were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol – Barstow Station is investigating the incident.
