ONYX, California (May 21, 2015) — A big rig truck and a car collided Thursday morning on Highway 178 near Isabella Walker Pass Road, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported to CHP officers about 8:46 a.m. Kern County Fire Department sent firefighters and paramedics to the scene where the truck was completely blocking traffic lanes. The truck was loaded with roughly 70,000 pounds of waste oil.
The extent of injuries was not disclosed in the report.
