Teen Driver Injured in Coachella Car, Truck Accident on Dillon Road
COACHELLA, Calif. (July 10, 2019) —Isaias De La Rosa, 18, of Coachella, was injured early Wednesday morning when his car and a semi-tractor trailer truck collided on Dillon Road.
The collision was reported about 1:31 a.m. at the Interstate 10 Freeway off ramp. De La Rosa was driving a sedan eastbound on Dillon Road when his vehicle collided with the truck due to unknown reasons, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The young man was transported to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Meanwhile, police suspect that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is heading up the investigation into fault.
