1 Seriously Injured in Isleton Crash on Highway 12 Near Mokelumne River Bridge
ISLETON, CA (August 29, 2021) – A car crash seriously injured at least one person on Highway 12 near the Mokelumne River Bridge in Isleton.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the accident at about 9:38 a.m.
CHP said a black Toyota Corolla and two more vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Isleton. They crashed on the westbound side of Highway 12, just east of the Mokelumne River Bridge.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log mentioned that an occupant of the Toyota Corolla complained of pain to their back. The driver of another car obtained a head injury due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that one person sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then took that patient to a hospital for treatment. The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 12 near the Mokelumne River Bridge to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Isleton crash is still under investigation.
