DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Calif. (August 7, 2017) — Issac Moore, 8, of Desert Hot Springs died Saturday shortly after being pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool during a party held at the Vista Ventana Spa & Resort, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The boy had been playing a game with other children in the crowded swimming pool at the extended stay-hotel about 9:20 p.m.
At least two people saw the boy and one dove into the pool to pull the boy out and another began CPR.
Paramedics responded and rushed the boy to a hospital, but he later died of his injuries about 10:45 p.m. at Desert Regional Medical Center
The Desert Hot Springs Police Department is investigating the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Tooth with DHSPD at (760) 329-9411 x352.
The boy’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
