Bicyclist Jack Laird, 68, Hit and Killed by Car in Thermal
THERMAL (December 9, 2017) – A bicyclist killed after a traffic collision in the area of Avenue 62 and Fillmore Street Friday afternoon has been identified as Jack Roger Laird, according to The Desert Sun.
The coroner’s office said Laird was 68-year-old Belingham, Washington resident.
As per the article, deputies and California Highway Patrol affirmed that Laird was riding his bicycle at Avenue 62 and Fillmore Street when he was struck by a gray Honda. The accident took place at 12:06 p.m.
Laird suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, officials did not mention whether the driver of the Honda stopped and remained following the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
