Woman, 73, Hit and Killed by Truck at Highway 49 and 88 Wednesday
Jackson, CA (November 3, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Wednesday morning in the area of Highway 49 and Highway 88, the Ledger Dispatch News reported.
Initial investigation reveled Tyler Alexander Harrison was driving a 2019 Kenworth truck traveling on Highway 49. Officials said the truck was negotiating a right turn from Highway 88 onto northbound Highway 49. In the process, a female party crossed the roadway.
Officials said the truck driver failed to avoid, and hit the pedestrian. The horrible crash took place at approximately 9:15 a.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the victim lying on the ground. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the woman, but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liability in the fatal pedestrian accident at Highway 49 and 88 in Jackson.
