Jacob Denning, 20, Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 1 and Old Creek
CAYUCOS, San Luis Obispo County (May 10, 2018) – A driver was seriously injured after a fatal traffic collision in the area of Highway 1 and Old Creek Road Tuesday morning, according to The Tribune.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Jacob Allen Denning, of Morro Bay.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a red Honda Civic was traveling west on Old Creek Road when its operator allegedly ran a red light while turning onto southbound Highway 1.

Denning attempted to brake but his2016 Nissan Sentra collided with the driver’s side of the Honda. Denning was traveling at about 50 to 55 mph when the crash occurred around 7:20 a.m.
CHP affirmed that Denning was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with major injuries, including a broken right leg. His condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver the Civic was also taken to the same hospital but later died. The deceased has been named as 70-year-old Betty Jean Druebert, of North Las Vegas.
The incident remains under investigation.
