3 Killed in Solo Car Accident on Van Ness Ave
TORRANCE, California (June 30, 2017) — Two of three young men killed in a car crash on Del Amo Boulevard have been identified as Jacob Evans, 20, and Henry Ramos, 19, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner office.
A third man, who was 18-years-old, was also killed in the 12:10 a.m. collision that took place on June 29, but he has not been identified. Evans was reportedly driving a yellow Dodge Charger with Ramos and the 18-year-old as passengers. Police say Evans was speeding and lost control when he got to a curve in the roadway, just past Del Amo Boulevard. The vehicle crossed over into opposing traffic, jumped the curb and crashed head-on into a tree.

All three occupants of the vehicle were trapped in the car until firefighters arrived to cut and free them.
Evans and Ramos died of their injuries at the scene, but the third victim was taken to a hospital where he later died. His identity has not been released pending notification of his family.
The police investigation into the crash is underway, but initial results indicate that alcohol and or drugs were not factors.
