Motorcyclist Jacob Loniak, 43, Killed After DUI Crash in Malibu on Pacific Coast Highway
The accident happened at around 8:30 p.m near Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
Preliminary report stated that Loniak was riding his 2009BMW motorcycle on the eastbound of the highway when he was suddenly hit by an oncoming 2007 Lexus GX470 SUV.
The Lexus was traveling from Mastro’s steakhouse parking lot and was making a left turn, attempting to cross the eastbound lanes on PCH when the collision occurred, as mentioned in the article.
The force from the impact was significant, concluding in Loniak overthrown on the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another car, a 2010 Toyota Prius, was wrecked as the Lexus continued its trajectory.
Authorities immediately responded at the site and found the Lexus driver intoxicated.
The Malibutimes published that the 54-year-old Lexus driver was arrested for gorss vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
