Truck Driver Hurt in Collision at County Road P and 24
Glenn County, CA (May 2, 2023) – Jacob Shriver, a 30-year-old man, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of County Road P and County Road 24 Wednesday, April 26.
2-Vehicle Accident in Glenn County
The Action News Now reported a 2022 Ford truck collided with a 1999 Ford truck at the intersection in Glenn County. Preliminary investigation revealed Shriver was driving a 2022 Ford truck heading north on County Road P. At about the same time, a 1999 Ford truck was coming from westbound County Road 24. Officials said the driver of the 1999 Ford truck failed to slow or stop at the stop sign and entered the crossing at about the same time as the other vehicle.
According to the article published online, Shriver attempted to stop but still hit the truck. The force from the impact caused the 1999 Ford to overturn and slam against a utility pole on the northeast corner of the intersection. Our sources confirmed the driver of the older vehicle sadly died in the collision.
Meanwhile, Jacob Shriver reportedly sustained injuries in the crash. Responding paramedics attended to the driver but he declined to be taken to the hospital.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened at County Road P and 24 in Glenn County.
