Jacquez Cavazos Fatal Boyle Heights Motorcycle Accident 10 Fwy
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 30, 2018) – Jacquez Cavazos, 33, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died early Thursday morning in a crash with a vehicle on the Interstate 10 San Bernardino Freeway in Boyle Heights, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported to police about 2:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway at State Street, the CHP said. CHP officers stated that the victim was riding a 2018 Triumph motorcycle and was exiting the northbound 101 Freeway to the Interstate 10 Freeway. The rider reportedly struck a raised median, lost control and collided with a 2013 Nissan.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead. An investigation into the circumstances went on for hours and the roadway was eventually reopened by 6:30 a.m., the CHP said.

A full investigation into what caused this fatal crash is underway. Police will piece together evidence and speak with witnesses to determine fault.
