
San Diego County, Calif. (Jan. 23, 2023) — At least three people were injured Monday following a Jacumba Hot Springs crash on the eastbound Interstate 8 Freeway at In-Ko-Pah Park Road.
The rollover crash occurred about 6:48 a.m. on Jan. 23rd in San Diego County near the Mexico border, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials received an automated notification from an iPhone in the red Dodge alerting them to the collision.
Border Patrol officers reported there were five people hurt including one that suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center. Two others were also hospitalized with unknown injuries.
CHP officers are heading up the investigation into the cause of the Jacumba Hot Springs crash.
