Jade Maldonado, 14, Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Accident
SAN BERNARDINO (September 28, 2018) – A teenage pedestrian killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident in the area of Pacific Street and Glasgow Avenue Friday has been identified as Jade Maldonado, according to The Sun.
The 14-year-old San Bernardino girl was on her way to Pacific High School when the tragic collision occurred just after 7 a.m.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said Maldonado was walking at the intersection of Glasgow Avenue and Pacific Street when she was struck by a vehicle.
The teen was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by the driver who was traveling between 40 and 50 mph at the time.

CHP affirmed that Maldonado was left with life-threatening injuries as the motorist involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
She was immediately taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she underwent surgery. However, the victim was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, officials described the suspect car as a tan 2000 to 2004 GMC SUV. Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact the CHP at 909-383-4247.
