Jaden Rowley, 22, Killed After Car Accident at Girard Avenue and Torrey Pines Road Sunday
La Jolla, CA (November 23, 2020) – A 22-year-old man died following a suspected DUI collision in the area of Girard Avenue and Torrey Pines Road early Sunday.
The NBC7 News reported a Nissan Altima was seen speeding westbound in the 1000 block of Torrey Pines Road around 3:15 a.m. Due to the alleged intoxication of the driver, he apparently made a sudden left turn onto 7500 Girard Avenue.
The Altima left the roadway and eventually crashed into a palm tree.

Officials said two male passengers both sadly died as a result of the wreck. The Medical Examiner’s office identified one of the fatal victims as Jaden Rowley.

Meanwhile, responding paramedics transported the injured driver to a hospital after the incident. Following an evaluation, authorities held the 26-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly DUI car crash in La Jolla.
