Big Rig Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Avalon Boulevard
Gardena, Calif. (December 14, 2020) – Jaetack Lee, 59, of Norwalk, was struck and killed Saturday afternoon in an industrial parking lot on Avalon Boulevard.
According to FOX11 News, the fatal crash took place in a private driveway at an industrial property in Gardena.
A driver in a big rig truck reportedly hit the Norwalk man about 3:40 p.m. on Dec. 12th in the 14900 block of S Avalon Boulevard.
Jaetack Lee ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Gardena
The CHP report only states that the victim was standing in the parking lot before he was hit. Paramedics rushed to the scene where they attended to the man with life-threatening injuries. Later, authorities confirmed the victim sadly died as a result of the collision.
The identity of the deceased man was later released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner as Jaetack Lee.
Investigators are reviewing evidence and witness statements to confirm what caused the collision.
