
Car Plows Into Les Schwab Tire Center
Quincy, CA (May 24, 2023) – Jaime Miranda, a 43-year-old man, suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on Main Street Wednesday, May 17.
The Plumas News reported a 79-year-old man was driving to Les Schwab for a scheduled oil change. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver attempted to park the vehicle on the north side of the building. When the man slowed to stop in a parking space, his foot accidentally slipped from the brake and onto the accelerator.
Store Assistant Manager Hospitalized After Car Accident in Quincy
Officials said the car accelerated and lunged forward through the north wall of the Les Schwab building. The vehicle plowed through the north window and wall, then hit the assistant manager of the store.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found Jaime Miranda pushed all the way toward the front counter area. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim, then transported him to the Plumas District Hospital for further treatment.
The article published online mentioned the driver appeared unharmed after the crash. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the car accident that happened in Quincy.
