NORTH SACRAMENTO, Calif. (March 14, 2023) — Jamel Tyrone Oliver, 32, of Sacramento, died following a pedestrian accident Monday night on Elkhorn Boulevard at Butterball Way in North Sacramento.
The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on its website.
Authorities responded to the intersection around 11:15 p.m. on March 13th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
Police arrived at the intersection and located a pedestrian down on the westbound side of the roadway. The Sacramento man may have already died before police arrived. There was a vehicle at the scene that was towed for evidence.
A full investigation underway to determine what happened.
Traffic lanes reopened around 12:48 a.m. on March 14th.
