PALM SPRINGS, California (October 11, 2016) – James Brown, 23, of Joshua Tree, suffered fatal injuries following a DUI collision at Ramon Road and Gene Autry Trail early Tuesday morning, according to an article by Press Enterprise.
The Joshua Tree man succumbed to his injuries at Desert Regional Medical Center shortly after the 2:00 a.m. wreck near Palm Springs International Airport.
Preliminary investigations determined the man killed was a passenger in a southbound 2007 Ford Crown Victoria driven by a 25-year-old Indio man. The Ford was struck by an eastbound 1994 GMC pickup truck driven by 29-year-old Austin Ulshafer.
After police ran some tests, Ulshafer was arrested at 3:15 a.m. and booked for investigation of driving under the influence resulting in great bodily injury.
No immediate information was provided on the Ford driver.
