5 Dead After Aircraft Crashes Near Southern California Tuesday
San Diego, CA (September 5, 2021) – Five people including–James Buriak, Sarah Burns, and Bailey Tucker, died following a helicopter crash in the Pacific Ocean off of Southern California.
On August 31, Tuesday, a MH-60S helicopter plunged down into the sea. The CBS Sacramento reported the Navy said they were conducting routine flight operations when the unfortunate event happened.
Authorities confirmed the two pilots, and five other sailors on board died from the crash. The U.S. Navy released the names of three fatal victims–31-year-old James Buriak, a Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class from Salem, Virginia; 31-year-old Sarah Burns, a Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class from Severna Park, Maryland; and 21-year-old Bailey J. Tucker, a Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class from St. Louis, Missouri.

Meanwhile, our sources indicated five other sailors on board the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
At this time, a military investigation is underway to determine the precise cause of the aircraft crash.
