Baker, California Car Accident on 15 Freeway; 2 Killed
BAKER, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2020) — James Jin Kao, 52, of Rancho Mirage, died in a collision Friday on the Interstate 15 Freeway in Baker.
Kao was one of two men killed in the collision that were identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
Isaac Martel White, 25, of Memphis Tennessee, was also killed in the crash. The Tennessee man was allegedly driving at high speed on the Interstate 15 Freeway when his compact car reportedly crossed over the center median and collided with an SUV driven by Kao.
The fatal crash was reported at 9:48 p.m. on Friday, October 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene near mile marker 142 in Baker.
Unfortunately, both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol – Barstow Station is investigating the incident.
